Our Story

Building a foundation for Islamic education in San Diego

Our History

Pathway to Faith was founded by a group of concerned community members in response to the growing need for structured Islamic education in San Diego. Though informal Islamic programming existed in the form of weekly lectures at local masājid, there was no long-term, academically rigorous program designed to train future leaders in Islamic knowledge and character. The program formally launched as a one-year weekend initiative and has since grown into a multi-level, semester-based academic system.

Our Mission and Vision

Bismillah, With the help of Allah and seeking His Face,

Pathway to Faith was founded by a dedicated group of community members who recognized the urgent need for strengthened Islamic education within our community. Our commitment is to provide a comprehensive and systematic Islamic studies program aimed at establishing a robust educational foundation for the entire San Diego Muslim community.

Through this initiative, we strive to equip aspiring Imams, teachers, community leaders, and youth leaders with essential knowledge. Our programs positively impact individuals from various masjids who seek to deepen their understanding of Islam. We aspire to cultivate a broad comprehension of Islamic principles among our members, encouraging them to lead their daily lives in accordance with these teachings while contributing meaningfully to society.

This collaborative effort transcends individual masjids or groups as we work together towards fostering a vibrant and knowledgeable Muslim community that embodies the values of integrity, cooperation, and lifelong learning.

Community Impact

Many of our graduates are already making a difference as volunteers, mentors, and leaders in the community. They're applying the knowledge they've gained by teaching youth, mentoring peers, and promoting Islamic values in everyday life. Together, we are building a unified community of learners and leaders who will continue to grow and serve for generations to come.
