About the Program
Bismillah,
With the help of Allah and seeking His Face,
Our commitment is to offer an in-depth and systematic Islamic studies program. Our objective is to establish a robust educational foundation for the entire San Diego Muslim community. Through this program, we aim to equip a significant number of qualified Imams, teachers, community leaders, and youth leaders. Additionally, we aspire to nurture a community with a broad understanding of Islam, encouraging members to lead their daily lives in accordance with Islamic principles and contribute to society in various meaningful ways. This endeavor is a collaborative effort that transcends the boundaries of individual masjids or groups.
How Our Program Works
Our program is designed to be inclusive and supportive while maintaining high standards for prospective students. Here’s how the application and enrollment process unfolds:
- Eligibility Criteria: To apply, prospective students must be at least 15 years old according to the Hijri calendar. We do allow exceptions for exceptional students who may not meet this age requirement.
- Basic Requirements: Applicants need to demonstrate good moral character and possess the ability to read in Arabic. These foundational skills ensure that all students can engage fully with the curriculum.
- Interview Process: Once an application is submitted, an interview will be conducted to assess whether the prospective student meets the program’s requirements.
- Admission Status Notification: After the interview, it typically takes about two to three weeks for applicants to receive their admission status.
- Course Selection: If accepted, students will receive their login information for our Student Management Platform approximately one week before classes begin on November 16th, 2024. They will use this platform to select their courses.
- Course Prerequisites: Students may only select classes for which they meet the prerequisites. However, one can enroll in a course where they don’t meet the prerequisites by obtaining the course instructor’s approval. Those who do not fulfill the necessary requirements may be dropped from the class prior to the start of the semester.
- Semester Dates: The semester runs from the 14th of Jumada al-Ula to the 24th of Shaban, 1446 AH (which corresponds to November 16th, 2024, to February 23rd, 2025).
- Questions and Support: If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to reach out to us at support@pathwaytofaith.org or clicking on the “Send an Inquiry” button right below this section.
We look forward to welcoming you to our program!
